Holiday Mickey & Minnie at Disneyland
We were looking for the perfect holiday staycation, somewhere close to home, but fun for the entire family.  Since we already have Disneyland Season Passes and the parks were all decked in holiday cheer, we were excited to book a room at the Disneyland Hotel for a couple of nights and enjoy the entire Disneyland Resort (Disneyland Hotel, Downtown Disney, Disneyland, and Disney’s California Adventure.)   It was the perfect getaway!

We checked in to a beautiful room overlooking the pools!  Since it was November, the Hotel was not very crowded and the weather was perfect!  We spent some time enjoying the room, then headed over to Downtown Disney, to explore and have dinner!  There is always so much to do from the Lego Store to live entertainment everywhere to yummy restaurants!  After dinner, we headed back to our Hotel, just steps away and went to bed.

The next morning, we got up early and took advantage of the Magic Hour!  This magical hour is when the park opens an hour early, only for hotel guests!!  The ride lines are super short, it’s awesome!  We jumped on the Monorail to get into the park, super easy and a great way to get into the park if you already have tickets.  You get to skip all the entrance lines and it drops you off right by the Nemo submarine ride.

One of my favorite parts about staying at the Hotel, is nap time!!  It’s so great to be just a short walk from a quiet space to lay down and take a break from all the excitement.  There are refrigerators in the room that we kept our milk in, so we felt right at home.

After nap time, we decided to hit the pools!  Yes, multiple pools and waterslides!  And you don’t need to worry about bringing your water vests, they provide them for you, no charge and life guards everywhere!  My son had such a blast, we almost forgot that we also had Disneyland to go to.  There was so much to do that 2 nights was just not enough.  But it was a nice getaway, close to home, but felt like we were away.
